Why I became a Nurse Midwife?

When I was 22 I met a home birth midwife from Northern California. She was my good friend's sister. I could see that she loved her calling. I went to school to become a nurse midwife in 1982 and graduated in 1983. I have had the privilege of delivering more than 5,700 babies since then. It is still a miracle every single time I am attending a birth. The most special moment in a woman's life is shared with me and I appreciate their trust. I have the best career in the world!!!
