Midwife saves the day!!
I met this midwife during my third pregnancy. I immediately liked her gentle wisdom and easy presence in the room. I felt I could discuss anything. As the day came for delivery, it turned into a long labor. My midwife was sooo patient. We walked and used a birthing ball(kidney-shaped), and used the shower. As the baby came out, it seemed her shoulders were stuck (shoulder dystocia?). The doctor on call yelled some code and made me scared. But my midwife remained so calm and told me that they were gonna manipulate me a bit and this would free the baby's shoulders. She did it. And the baby was freed. I later went on to have a fourth baby, and used of course my midwife. The same thing happened and she was just as wonderful the second time. I later heard of children who suffered lifelong injuries to nerves in the neck and arms due to this condition and thanked God for my midwife and her wisdom.
