My body, My baby

Words simply do not exist explain the impact that my midwives had on my life. After a 5 year struggle with infertility, I was finally pregnant. It was only when my OB suggested that I just go ahead and think about an induction date that I knew she was not going to deliver my baby. I was only 12 weeks pregnant! I was lucky enough to run across a local group of nurse midwives who understood my desire for as little intervention as possible, don't get me wrong, I was not interested in a completely natural childbirth, but I surely was not interested in scheduling an induction!! My midwives took the approach that it was my body and my baby and that those two things gave me all the decision making power. I had amazing experiences and still wish my midwives were here so that I could personally thank them. Those who haven't had the pleasure to deliver a baby this way have missed out!
